Description
River Hospital is seeking a Dietary Director to lead our Dietary team working full-time. 

Job Purpose

The Dietary Director runs the day-to-day operations of the department. Manages the food service quality, menu planning, staff scheduling, inventory control, budgeting and purchasing. The Dietary Director is responsible for interacting and communicating with patients and clinical staff to understand patient health concerns and dietary requirements to ensure food preparation follows strict health guidelines.  The Director is expected to work in the kitchen in any capacity needed to main operational excellence.

 

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or Associate Degree in Food Service, Nutrition or Management
  • 2 years of food service management 
  • Certified Dietary Manager credential (CDM) through the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals preferred 
  • Good mathematical skills
  • MS Excel and Outlook knowledge required
  • Highly organized and responsible
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
